Ifá reading in Tenerife with a traditional Babalawo

In short: I am Yeray, a Babalawo (Ifá priest) initiated in 2017 in Ọ̀yọ́, Nigeria. I offer Ifá readings in the south of Tenerife and online by video call. An Ifá reading costs €50. Book it on WhatsApp: +34 681 875 660. I reply within 1 hour, 9:00–19:00 (Canary Islands time).

What is an Ifá reading?

Ifá is the divination and wisdom system of the Yoruba people of Nigeria, recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. In a reading I cast the òpẹ̀lẹ̀ (divination chain) to find the Odù that speaks about your situation, and I explain what it says: what is helping you, what is blocking you and what Ifá recommends.

Traditional Ifá, not Santería

Most Babalawos in Spain practise Cuban Santería. I practise traditional Nigerian Ifá (Ìsẹ̀ṣe): prayers in Yoruba, no Catholic syncretism and a verifiable lineage. I was initiated at the Elejigbo temple in Ọ̀yọ́ and I work with the Otura Irete temple, also in Ọ̀yọ́.

3. I consult Ifá and explain your Odù.
4. If Ifá recommends an offering (ebọ) or receiving an Òrìṣà, I tell you what it is and the price before anything is done.
